What is Wobenzym N used for?

What is it? What’s in it?

Wobenzym N © is an enzyme preparation, which was originally developed in Germany in the 1960s. It’s a natural anti-inflammatory with many additional health benefits. Wobenzym N © still remains Europe’s most popular nutritional enzyme supplement.

It’s a Pharmaceutical Grade Formula. Pharmaceutical Grade Formulas usually are only available through healthcare professionals, and aren’t found in retail stores. Pharmaceutical grade supplements are effective, because of their ingredients, and because they have greater bioavailability, due to the way they are manufactured.

Ingredients of Wobenzym N

Pancreatin Helps reduce joint discomfort and swelling
Papain Exhibits strong anti-inflammatory effects
Bromelain Reduces inflammation and the pain associated with it. Helps the body to reduce swelling of joints and strengthens the immune system
Trypsin Accelerates repair of injuries, boosts immune system activity, and may help maintain healthy circulation
Chymotrypsin Helps to maintain free blood flow to enhance circulation
Rutin A powerful free radical scavenger. Rutin also acts as an anti-inflammatory by inhibiting the enzymes that produce inflammation

How does it work?

Systemic enzymes such as pancreatin, papain, and bromelain play an important role in the relief from the pain of inflammation, as well as a quick recovery from sports injuries and other injuries.

Wobenzyme N © can replenish systemic enzymes (pancreatin, papain, bromelain), which allows your body to heal itself and provide effective long term joint support. As we age our bodies lose the natural ability to produce enough systemic enzymes to meet our needs. This aging process begins at about the age of 27 and by the time we have reached that age we have already used a significant amount of our body’s enzymes. To prevent the problem of running out, our body begins to ration out enzymes. The result is that it takes longer to recover from injuries. If our joints don’t heal properly they are susceptible to the development of osteoarthritis.

Over 40 years of scientific research and evidence show that Wobenzyme N © is an effective arthritis treatment, and it’s widely prescribed throughout Europe for inflammation relief. By replenishing enzyme stocks, the body can heal itself and inflammation and swelling are reduced The enzymes in Wobenzym N © break down harmful proteins, which cause joint pain and slow down recovery from injuries. Wobenzym N © works by cleansing the blood of these harmful proteins, and makes it possible for the body’s natural repair and healing process to take place.

These harmful proteins are called Circulating Immune Complexes or CICs. These CICs are the cause of most joint inflammation. They’re protein chains created by the immune system in response to irritation such as in an injury. The CICs cause pain, swelling and redness. The CICs cause the initial inflammation but then the inflammation leads to the creation of more, which just exacerbates the problem and slows down recovery and could cause further damage.

A common maintenance dose is 3 to 5 tablets twice daily.Cancer Treatment Centers of America routinely prescribe 10 tablets three times daily. Ideally Wobenzym N © should be taken at least 30 minutes before meals or 60 minutes after meals. The best time to take it is just before bedtime or immediately upon arising.

Uses and Benefits

Wobenzym N ©’s original use was primarily to treat osteoarthritis. Studies have revealed that Wobenzym N © lowers C-reactive protein levels, which is a marker of chronic infection in the body, on an average of 30%. The latest research, that was published in the New England Journal of Medicine, has documented that individuals with high levels of C-reactive protein have up to six times the likelihood of a heart attack or stroke as individuals with lower levels of C-reactive protein.

Wobenzym N © acts as a natural and safe alternative to anti-inflammatory drugs such as Ibuprofen and naproxen sodium (NSAIDS).

Some Olympic teams have used Wobenzym to reduce injuries by as much as 50 percent and to increase healing after injury. This is partially due to its ability to prevent the discoloration and local pain associated with traumatic injuries. For this very reason, leading surgeons now routinely prescribe Wobenzym N © to prevent bruising, edema and the associated pain for their post-surgical patients.

More and more uses for Wobenzym N are being discovered and the list of ailments benefiting from it continues to grow.

Clinical trials and numerous studies over four decades have been launched to examine the benefits and effects of Wobenzym N ©. These studies have revealed many health benefits. Here are some of those benefits:

  • Treatment for joint and muscle pain: A safe and natural alternative to anti-inflammatory drugs such as NSAIDS
  • Treatment to reduce injury and promote healing: Can reduce the pain of trauma by 50%. Promotes the natural healing processes. Often used for surgical patients to prevent pain associated with post-surgical edema and bruising. Especially helpful in sports injuries and used by some Olympic teams to reduce injuries and improve healing if injury does occur
  • Treatment to reduce C-reactive protein (CPR) levels: CPR is a marker for chronic infection and inflammation. If CPR levels are high then further testing should be done. It can be used to screen for coronary heart disease and cardiovascular disease. In the New England Journal of Medicine research has been published that indicate that individuals with high levels of CRP have up to 6 times the likelihood of a heart attack as those with lower levels. Wobenzym has been shown to lower CPR levels on the average of 30%
  • A treatment to promote cardiovascular health: It may protect the heart and cardiovascular system by reducing the incidence of blood clots, varicose veins, strokes, heart attacks and pulmonary embolisms
  • Has anti-spasmodic capabilities
  • Has anti-arrhythmic capabilities
  • Has cholesterol lowering capabilities

Health Problems That Benefit From Wobenzym N

Reduce the incidence of blood clots, known to be induced by the sudden breakdown of vulnerable plaque
Improve feelings of well-being due to its antioxidant effects
Reduce the incidence of heart attacks and strokes because of its anti-thrombotic, anti-spasmodic, anti-arrhythmic and cholesterol lowering abilities
Help to resolve many of the molecular features of aging
Provide protection from environmental toxins in the air, water and food
Treat autoimmune and rheumatic illnesses, such as osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis, joint and muscle pain
Benefit viral injection treatments
Lower inflammation involved in allergies and alleviates the symptoms for the sufferer
Helping in the treatment of herpes, cancer and hepatitis C

Side Effects

Wobenzym N © is formulated with natural nutrients. It’ safe and effective with no known side effects. It can be taken regularly and with confidence to enhance the functioning of the body’s systems and organs and to reduce pain.

NSAIDS on the other hand have many harmful and bothersome side effects. In the United States it is law that a package insert be provided with all prescriptions for an NSAID, which warns against possible harm.

Warning/Drug Interactions

Hemophiliacs must not use systemic enzymes. For people taking prescription blood thinners such as heparin or warfarin there is the possibility that the blood might be thinned too much, because systemic enzymes cause blood thinning drugs to work better.
