The Immune System
Enzymes and Illness
The Immune System...
Disease is due to an imbalance of some kind or a deficiency or lack of something the body needs to be healthy. The result is sickness or pain. If you want to stay healthy you need to support the body’s means of producing digestive and metabolic enzymes. This will bring a balance to your body, which will improve your health or prevent disease or sickness. The way to do this is with enzymes.
The immune system is the body’s defense system against disease. It's dependent on the enzyme protease, which breaks down proteins. Protein is involved in most types of illness. Blood clots that can cause stroke or heart attack are made up of the protein fibrin. Fibrin is what surrounds cancer cells.

Bacteria and parasites are made up of protein. Viruses are encompassed by protein. Fungus such as Candida contains a protein nucleus, which is surrounded by a chitin shell.

Therefore, it is plain we need protease to combat these pathogens and other invaders.

White blood cells, which are a key component of the immune system, contain metabolic protease. If you have a weak immune system then you won’t have enough protease to fight off cold and flu viruses, for example.

There has been research that points to the fact that the bigger the burden we place on our digestive system then the weaker our immune system will be. That’s because when we eat, our body will always supply the energy needed to digest our food so that we might benefit from it. That’s why when you eat a large meal you feel so tired. Your body is using energy to digest your food and will take it from your other systems if need be.
